Jimmy Smith & Eddie Harris - 8 Counts for Rita

This funky jam. is all jimmy smith on bass (pedals) and organ. With sick sax sound because they recorded the sax through an electric reed, and thats why it sounds so good. Props to Steve Fulir for showing me this funk.

R.I.P. John Holt ---- "Strange Things"

Sad news for those of us left that remember. R.I.P. Mr. Holt, you've left us and eternity your sweet sounds and for that we are forever thankful.

Got To Let Go - The Bees (A Band of Bees)

The Bees are an English band with many colorful influences but this is their best jam and a little out of the psychedelic rock genre they are known for. This is some sort of epic funk track that they dreamed up. They mention the word change a couple of times in this song and clearly support it so I had to post it here. Enjoy.

Fat Freddy's Drop - Bluey

Beautiful chill, late night track. Preferably overlooking a city skyline.

Derrick Harriott - Slave (12" version)

From sun up to sundown, feeling irie with the badman Derrick Harriot skillfully covering a Temptations classic. I'm not a fan of most his other stuff but the production/band is on point on this, def my favorite Harriott track. Hear that sound the/hammers poundin down...

The Fabulous Three Odyessy Revised

Everything these guys created together is musical perfection.

Jennifer Lara - Woman Of The Ghetto + Dub (DUB STORE SPECIAL)

Women in Reggae don't get recognized enough. there were many and they were mad decent at creating beautiful music. Jennifer Lara to me is the most underrated female in an already male dominated, often macho genre. Everything in her early studio 1 days is a killer. Her versions too tho! If you are lucky enough to find vinyl of this woman you will be pleased with the dub sides. Often produced by Coxsone Dodd in her early days I believe.
